Medical-Grade Chemical Peels
Healthy, radiant skin is possible for almost anyone—so what are you waiting for? Medical-grade chemical peels keep skin looking fresh and revived no matter the season. If you are concerned about your skin looking dull or showing signs of aging, a chemical peel performed by a licensed aesthetician or board certified cosmetic surgeon can be an effective non-surgical option.

Glycolic Acid Peel
Glycolic acid peels help with fine lines, pigmentation issues, rosacea, and enlarged pores. This type of chemical peel contains alpha hydroxy acids that exfoliate the skin and gently unclog oil-filled sebaceous glands. Glycolic acid peels encourage cellular turnover and can help even out overall skin tone.
There is virtually no downtime associated with glycolic acid peels, and most patients experience only mild redness or irritation. Glycolic acid peels are most effective when performed routinely.
Lactic Acid Peel
A lactic acid peel is an excellent way to hydrate older or dryer skin. This peel helps moisturize the skin and increases cellular turnover and brightness. It is considered to be one of the most hydrating peels with the best plumping effects. It also improves wrinkles, reduces certain types of acne, and addresses discolorations of the skin.
Lactic acid peels are a gentler alpha hydroxy acid option and typically have the fastest recovery time. Redness and irritation are typically mild and special care should be used to avoid unnecessary sun exposure after the treatment.
Salicylic Acid Peel
Salicylic acid peels are especially effective for acne-prone skin and can help to reduce acne scarring. The peel’s antimicrobial properties help with oily skin and improve overall skin texture. Additionally, salicylic acid has been shown to improve the appearance of:
- Fine lines
- Hyperpigmentation
- Melasma
- Sun damage
Because it is a lighter peel, you should be able to resume normal activity shortly after treatment.
Dr. Alexander Sobel uses refined techniques and tailors every aspect of your procedure for natural, personalized results.
Jessner Peel
The Jessner peel is a combination of three powerful solutions: resorcinol, lactic acid, and salicylic acid. This combination provides more effective results than other similar treatments without the downtime of deeper peels.
Jessner peels are a great option for those hoping to improve the appearance of surface irregularities, reduce acne, and achieve a brighter, smoother complexion.
“I’ve been seeing Dr Sobel for several years, he’s always been one of the most outstanding doctors I’ve ever encountered.”
TCA Peel
A medium chemical peel, the TCA peel is an effective option for improving acne scars, evening out skin tone and texture, and smoothing out fine lines. This peel provides more dramatic results than lighter peels, but don’t require the long recovery period of deep peels.
The TCA peel uses trichloroacetic acid to remove dull and damaged outer layers of skin to reveal softer, smoother underlying skin.
Obagi Blue Peel
The Obagi Blue Peel uses Trichloracetic Acid (TCA) as the active ingredient mixed with the patented Blue Base from Obagi. Depending on your skin concerns, we can adjust the strength of the peel to best accommodate your needs.
Once your skin has completely recovered after the peel, you will notice a visible improvement in your complexion. Your skin’s appearance should continue to improve for the next four to six weeks, becoming firmer, clearer, smoother, healthier and more youthful looking.
