Male Filler Injections
If loss of volume in your mid-to-lower face is highlighting wrinkles, making your features look fallen, or prematurely aging your face, dermal filler injections are a safe and effective option. While facial rejuvenation procedures such as facelift surgery can provide dramatic improvement, dermal fillers can greatly improve your appearance without surgery or downtime.
Fillers work great on their own, but may be combined with BOTOX® or other procedures to enhance results.
Why Injections for Men are Different
Aging affects men and women differently, and our male patients’ goals are often quite different. The most common signs of aging we see in men are deep forehead creases, fine lines caused by UV exposure, drooping in the mid-face, and the development of jowls around the jawline.
It is important to work with an experienced injector who understands the different needs of male injectable patients. As a board certified Bellevue cosmetic surgeon, Dr. Sobel has advanced knowledge of facial anatomy and vast experience working with male patients to achieve dramatic results while retaining a masculine appearance.
Juvéderm®
If you are concerned about unattractive creases around your mouth, loss of volume in your mid-face, or unwelcome wrinkles and folds, Juvéderm can reduce these tell-tale signs of aging. Juvéderm is the first and only FDA-approved filler to smooth moderate to severe wrinkles around the nose and mouth. This clear gel filler contains hyaluronic acid, which naturally occurs in your body to provide moisture and elasticity to your skin. As you age, the production of hyaluronic acids slows, contributing to volume loss and skin drooping in the face and resulting in:
- “Parentheses” lines from the nose to the mouth (smile lines)
- Marionette lines from the mouth to the chin
- Creases around the lip corners
- Vertical lip lines
By replacing this lost hyaluronic acid in the lower face, Juvéderm effectively replenishes lost volume to smooth and lift the mid-face. This results in reduced fine lines and wrinkles and an overall more youthful appearance. Treatment typically takes around 10-15 minutes and you will be able to resume normal activity almost immediately. Results gradually appear over the course of three to five days and can last for up to one year.
Radiesse®
To address moderate to severe wrinkles and deeper facial folds, we often recommend our male patients consider Radiesse. This injectable filler stimulates your body’s collagen production to restore lost volume and elasticity to the lower third of the face. Radiesse is great option for improving the appearance of:
- Deeper smile or parentheses lines
- Creases between the mouth and chin
- Pre-jowl folds
- Wrinkles on the chin
Your results will appear gradually over the course of a week and can last for up to a year.
Non-Surgical Chin Enhancement
For men who would like to have a stronger chin or redefine their jaw line, chin augmentation is not the only available option. If you aren’t quite ready for a more permanent solution, Dr. Sobel can improve the appearance of your chin using strategically placed dermal filler injections.
After evaluating your natural jawline and listening to your concerns, Dr. Sobel will develop a treatment plan that meets your goals. By carefully and precisely adding volume to the chin and jaw, Dr. Sobel can create the appearance of a stronger, more masculine jawline.
Dr. Alexander Sobel uses refined techniques and tailors every aspect of your procedure for natural, personalized results.
