WildLights at Woodland Park Zoo
From Black Friday through January 4, 2015, Seattle’s Woodland Park Zoo will be awash with thousands of wild animal-themed sparkling LED light displays. The light show will be held daily from 5:30 to 8:30 PM and is perfect for all ages. Moms, you’ll love that children under 2 are free, while admission for other ages is reasonably priced. As part of this winter festival of lights, there will be live reindeer and a historical carousel.
Holiday Coloring Contest Winner Joins “A Christmas Story” Stage
Ivar’s and Kidd Valley locations in Western Washington are hosting a Holiday Coloring Contest from November 5 to December 5, 2014. The winner of the contest will be chosen randomly to receive a walk-on role for “A Christmas Story, The Musical,” ten tickets for family and friends to enjoy the show, and a $100 gift card to Ivar’s or Kidd Valley. Entry is free and offers a great way to celebrate the holiday season!
Seattle Center Winterfest
Opening on Black Friday and running through New Year’s Eve, the Seattle Center will be hosting Winterfest: a five-week-long annual celebration of all things winter-inspired. Enjoy ice skating, art installations, ice sculpting, and the chance to operate a miniature train in the Center House Winter Train and Village. Additionally, free live entertainment throughout the event will include musical performances, interactive shows, performance art, and much more!
The festivities conclude with a bang on New Year’s Eve during a fireworks performance and free concert.
Snowflake Lane
From November 28 through Christmas Eve, the Bellevue Collection will host Snowflake Lane. As one of the most anticipated kid-friendly activities in Bellevue, the 10th Annual Snowflake Lane tradition is hosted nightly from 7 to 7:30 PM. Events include a magical spectacle of live toy soldiers, costumed snow characters, twinkling light displays, and falling snow. The festivities kick off opening night with Bellevue Place tree lighting.
