Learn More About Dysport in Seattle
There are many options when it comes to injectable treatments to help restore youth and vitality to the face. One of the newest additions to cosmetic surgery is Dysport. Seattle men and women can take advantage of this injectable at Anderson Sobel Cosmetic Surgery.
What is Dysport?
Dysport is a prescription injectable that is used to treat a variety of medical and cosmetic conditions. Not only is it used to smooth lines and wrinkles in the face, but it is also used to treat head and neck pain symptoms for those suffering from cervical dystonia. At our office in Bellevue, we have used this injectable for cosmetic enhancement and improvement. It is approved for use in adults over the age of 18.
Dysport vs. Botox
Dysport has an effect similar to that of Botox. Both make use of a neuromuscular blocking toxin to relax the muscles in the face, eliminating the look of deep lines and creases in areas of the forehead and other areas. Dysport is, however, a different formula. It has less protein than Botox. Compared with Botox there can be more spreading with Dysport, which can have adverse effects that an experienced injector can mitigate. However, with a greater spread, less solution may be necessary to achieve desired results.
Recovery & Results
Many people choose injectables for the benefit of quick results and virtually no recovery time. This is certainly the case with Dysport. Seattle patients at Anderson Sobel Cosmetic Surgery may experience small, red bumps at the injection sites; however, these symptoms should subside between 15-30 minutes. Pain is minimal, but brief. Patients are welcome to go back to their normal daily activity immediately after their session but are encouraged to refrain from touching or rubbing the treated area for the rest of the day.
A successful treatment will leave facial skin looking soft and smooth, with results lasting typically three to four months and up to six months. For those interested in learning more, please contact our office and schedule a complimentary consultation.
